 Australia 2007 (Victoria trip)

Threw all the camping equipment in the back of the car and drove south to Victoria on a road trip that covered many places along The Great Ocean Road before heading back via Ballarat. The photographs on this page show the first stopping point, Yackandandah (close to the NSW/VIC border) then Sorrento, Bells Beach, Airey's Inlet, Cape Otway, Port Campbell National Park (including The Twelve Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge and The Bay of Martyrs) and finally Sovereign Hill open air museum and historical park.

Zodiac Cruise, Paulet Island  Yackandandah, Victoria [June 11th to 12th 2007]
This was the first place where we camped, we were only really passing through on our way further south. It was a bit on the chilly side and we woke in the morning to find the tent covered in a layer of icy frost. The entire town of Yackandandah itself is heritage listed and has an early pioneer feel to it.

Sovereign Hill is a historically accurate recreation of Ballarat's gold-rush era. The moment you step into this place you feel like you've drifted back in time and are wandering amongst the buildings and people of the time.
